Dandelion's Fiber Friends

Dandelion’s Fiber Friends

Dandelion Fiber Co. collects handmade cold weather wearables and personal care items from our community for the members of the Aliveness Project (learn more about their awesome work here). Dandelion’s Fiber Friends continues the legacy of every grandma who infused her love into the hats, scarves, mittens and socks that warmed the bodies of anyone in need.

Here’s How to Contribute:

  • Get your needles out and stitch! Use your own pattern or one from our collection to make hats, scarves, cowls, mittens, and/or socks. Please use natural fibers, like wool, which are naturally antimicrobial and effectively wick moisture. Large sizes are most needed. Keep in mind that the Aliveness Project members are predominately male.

  • Donate unopened personal care items such as toilet paper, facial tissue, bath soap, shampoo & conditioner, deodorant, menstrual care products, laundry soap, bleach, toothbrush & toothpaste, mouthwash, disposable razors and body lotion.

  • Donate purchased wool socks (size L is most needed).

  • We will also take yarn donations, but only natural fibers, please.

Any of the above donations can be dropped at the shop during business hours.

DFF Stitch Sessions

Community Stitch Sessions are hosted at the shop about twice a year. Sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop!

Want to look through our donated yarn stash for your next DFF project? Email Lara (lara@dandelionfiberco.com) to schedule a time.
