Newburgh Yarn Co. makes beautiful, classic, wearable colors. The yarn is dyed with garment making in mind. The Soft Sock is a 4ply Fingering Weight with 19.5 Microns (super luxurious and great next to skin) - 85% Superwash Merino & 15% Nylon - a soft, squishy base perfect for all types of garments.
All yarn bases are high quality and ethically sourced from farms that follow mulesing-free practices. Each skein may vary slightly from one another due to the nature of hand dyed yarn, but that's the beauty of it! Simply alternate skeins when working with the same colorway to prevent pooling. Yarn is dyed in small batches and then washed with Soak wash, however some bleeding may still occur. For best results, handwash your finished project in cool water using a mild detergent safe for wool and lay flat to dry.

Hand washing with wool specific soap is recommended. Lay Flat to dry.
The garment should be washed separately. For machine washing, we recommend that all wool garments be washed separately on a wool program, to ensure the gentlest treatment. Centrifuge well and dry the garment flat, preferably on top of a towel. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments. This creates friction that can cause the garment to felt.
