Steek Your Fears Away! - Advanced Class - Sundays 1/12 & 19 9:30-11:30am

We will learn: Why we cut our knitting? The use of steeking, materials and techniques needed to create successful steeks.  We will learn 2 different types of steeking - crochet steeks and hand-sewn steeks.  In this class you will get a colorwork chart that will need to knit by week 2 so we can practice the prep and cutting of your swatch.

You will leave knowing how steeking can make your colorwork knitting more efficient and your finished projects beautiful!

Skills needed: simple colorwork knitting, knitting/purling, knitting a small colorwork swatch

Materials needed: This class will have homework!   Between week 1 and 2, you will have to knit a small colorwork swatch. A pattern swatch will be given for you to complete so we are able to practice cutting our swatch in week 2.
