Description & level: This is a perfect knit cardigan/jacket that will allow for learning how to read a pattern.  With just increase/decreases and knitting and purling, this is a perfect knit to learn pattern reading. We will go over how to read charts, making sure you have gauge before knitting, and support you along the way.  Sample knit available to see and learn about construction and fit.  Sit amongst fellow knitters and work together on this top-down sweater that goes fast due to larger needles and worsted/aran weight yarn. 

Suggested yarn: Lots of yarn combos in the shop like Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino with Soft Silk Mohair, Mominoki German Merino with a mohair,  Biches et Buches Le Gros Lambswool, or the Kelbourne Woolens Lucky Tweed.

Skills needed: Cast on, cast off, knit, purl, increase, decrease, pick up stitches, 

Materials needed: Worsted/Aran weight yarn or yarn to obtain gauge, needles for gauge in pattern, your own purchased copy of the pattern, stitch holders/barber cords, stitch markers
