A blend of cotton and alpaca from Italy, Le Coton & Alpaca is deliciously soft and comes in a beautiful range of colorways. It's a great choice for spring and autumn and is perfect if you like a heavier drape than with wool.
Le Coton & Alpaca is ideal for garments and accessories next to the skin. It's incredibly soft but also a great hypoallergenic alternative to wool.
The yarn is blown (The fibers in a "blown" yarn are held in place by the mesh tube, so should feel soft and also be durable) and can be used in a variety of weights. Here is an example of gauge:
17 sts = 4” on needle size US6 / 4mm
16 sts = 4” on needle size US8 / 5mm
15 sts = 4” on needle size US10 / 6mm
13 sts = 4” on needle size US10.5 / 7mm

Hand washing is recommended, with wool specific soap. Lay flat to dry.
For machine washing, we recommend that all wool garments be washed separately on a wool program, to ensure the gentlest treatment. Centrifuge well and dry the garment flat, preferably on top of a towel. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments. This creates friction that can cause the garment to felt.
