Class Description:  In this beginner class we will move into reading a simple pattern, talk about the importance of gauge swatching, learn to knit in the round, read a simple pattern, and create an amazing hat!  The Barley Hat is by Tin Can Knits and comes in a variety of sizes ranging from baby to adult.  You can choose to knit this hat in Worsted, DK, or Sport weight yarns which gives you choice.  Please download and print a copy of the Barley Hat pattern, making sure to choose the pattern that you wish to knit - Worsted, DK, or Sport weight along with the correct needles before the first class.  Feel free to come into the store for support in choosing yarn and needles for this hat before the start date of class.

Skills needed: Knit, purl, cast-on, familiar with decreasing stitches

Materials needed: Printed copy of the pattern, yarn and needles indicated on the pattern, stitch markers
